It was so great to learn the differences between the web applications and the desktop versions. Web applications require an Internet connection and use a web browser as a runtime environment. On the other hand, desktop applications are installed on a computer and run locally. To resume, if you are looking for mobility and flexibility, choosing a web service is the way to go. If on the other hand, your concern is functionality, desktop programs will be better.
