End of the Road?

By all means reaching the end of IS101 is not the end of the road for me but is bringing me closer to the main goal which is graduating with a Bachelor's degree. I had fun in this class and for a change was nice to see and interact with my classmates in person rather than online. Kudos to Professor Wu for making this class interactive and entertaining.

Spicing it up!

The PowerPoint Chapter was so much fun to read and learn. The "Animation" feature was one of the coolest things I learned. Professor Wu first introduced this add-on to my presentation and I found it amusing. It was very cool to learn how to apply it and use it. I can now spice up my presentations and make them more interactive and fun.

Data vs. Knowledge

The essential components of a PivotTable are Filters, Columns, Rows and Values. Navigate larges amounts of data can take hours and even days to disseminate. Learning to properly use PivotTables will help convert data into knowledge. A big mistake I see constantly is when people run reports and they provide a spreadsheet with a lot of valuable information but when not organized properly it's actually useless. This chapter was my favorite. I was actually looking forward to learn about PivotTables way ahead of the schedule.
